Dutch Apple Pie
|9 inch baked pie crust||1|
|All purpose flour||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Light brown sugar/3 tablespoon brown sugar + 3/4 teaspoon sweet 'n low brown||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs), firmly packed|
|Fat free margarine/Liquid butter buds||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs) (Promise Ultra Brand)|
|Green apple||2 Pound (Tart Cooking Apples)|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
|Sugar/1/2 cup sugar + 3 packets sweet 'n low||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Light salt||1 Dash|
|Prepared whip||2 Cup (32 tbs) (From 1 Envelope Dream Whip)|
Prepare pastry pie crust and refrigerate until ready to use.
Make topping: Combine flour and sugar in a medium bowl.
With a fork, blend Promise Ultra or liquid Butter Buds into mixture until it resembles the consistency of coarse cornmeal.
Preheat oven to 400° F.
Make filling: Core and pare apples.
Slice thinly into a large bowl.
Sprinkle with lemon juice.
Combine flour, sugar, lite salt, and cinnamon, mixing well.
Toss lightly with apples.
Turn filling into unbaked pie crust, spreading evenly.
Bake 40-45 minutes, or until apples are tender.
