Swedish Ginger Snaps

Ingredients
  Whole blanched almonds 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sifted all purpose flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Ginger 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Cloves 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Egg 1 , well beaten
  Dark corn syrup 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

1. Set out cookie sheets.
2. Set out almonds.
3. Sift together flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon and cloves and set aside.
4. Cream butter until softened.
5. Add sugar gradually, creaming until fluffy after each addition.
6. Add egg and dark corn syrup
