Peel the potatoes and parboil for 5 minutes.
Chop the bacon, using the double-bladed chopping knife and saute in butter until soft but not crisp.
Grate the potatoes, using the grating disc, season well then add to the bacon.
Fry until crisp on both sides.
Grate the cheese, using the grating disc and sprinkle it over the potatoes.
