|Day old whole wheat bread slice||2|
|Smoked cod roe||2 1⁄2 Ounce (75 Gram)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), crushed|
|Cayenne pepper||1 Pinch|
|Lemon juice||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Juice Of 2 Lemons)|
|Olive oil||165 Milliliter (2/3 Cup)|
Remove crusts from bread and soak slices in a little water.
Remove skins from cod roe and pound to a smooth paste.
Squeeze bread dry and add to roe with garlic and cayenne pepper.
Continue to pound mixture until it is really smooth.
Gradually stir in lemon juice and oil and beat vigorously.
Transfer to serving dish, sprinkle with paprika and serve with toast.
