Scandinavian Fruit Soup

Ingredients
  Mixed dried fruit 12 Ounce (1 Package, Such As Prunes, Apricots, Peaches, Pears, Raisins)
  Water 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Grape juice cocktail/Cranberry juice cocktail 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Quick-cooking tapioca 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Cinnamon stick 3 Inch
  Canned pitted dark sweet cherries 8 Ounce (1 Can)
Directions

Measure all ingredients except cherries into large saucepan.
Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat; cover and simmer until fruit is tender, 30 to 40 minutes.
Stir in cherries (with syrup) and heat.
