Scandinavian Fruit Soup

|Mixed dried fruit||12 Ounce (1 Package, Such As Prunes, Apricots, Peaches, Pears, Raisins)|
|Water||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Grape juice cocktail/Cranberry juice cocktail||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Quick-cooking tapioca||2 Tablespoon|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Cinnamon stick||3 Inch|
|Canned pitted dark sweet cherries||8 Ounce (1 Can)|
Measure all ingredients except cherries into large saucepan.
Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
Reduce heat; cover and simmer until fruit is tender, 30 to 40 minutes.
Stir in cherries (with syrup) and heat.
