Salzburg Nockerl

Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Egg yolk 4
  All purpose flour 14 Cup (224 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Egg white 4
  Milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
  Granulated sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Confectioner' s sugar 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Cream butter until fluffy.
Gradually beat in egg yolks.
Beat in flour and salt.
Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry.
Fold egg whites into mixture.
In a 9-inch iron skillet, mix milk, vanilla and granulated sugar, heat to a boil.
Remove from heat, stir egg mixture into milk.
Bake in preheated moderate oven (350°F.) until golden brown, about 15 to 20 minutes.
Cut into wedges, lift out in pieces with a pancake turner or spatula.
Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar
