Ingredients
  Round steak 1 1⁄2 Pound
  Vegetable shortening 1 Tablespoon
  Chopped canned tomatoes 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Chopped onion 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Pepper 1 Dash
Directions

Pound steak; cut into serving-size pieces.
In heavy skillet, brown steak in shortening; pour off fat.
Add remaining ingredients.
Cover; simmer 1 1/2 hours or until done.
Stir often.
