Sweet Sour Swiss Chard
|Swiss chard||6 Cup (96 tbs), torn|
|Green onion tops||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), sliced|
|All purpose flour||2 Teaspoon|
|Water||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Vinegar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Place chard in large salad bowl; set aside.
In skillet cook bacon till crisp; drain, reserving 1/4 cup bacon drippings.
Crumble bacon; set aside.
In same skillet cook onion in reserved drippings till tender but not brown.
Blend in sugar, flour, and 1/2 teaspoon salt; stir in water and vinegar.
Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
Pour hot mixture over chard, tossing to coat.
Sprinkle with bacon.
