Wholesome Irish Stew
|Lamb stew meat||2 Pound, trim off fat|
|Sliced carrot||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Finely sliced celery||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sliced turnips||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Onion||1 Medium, chopped|
|Cubed raw potatoes||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Water||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
Combine flour, salt and pepper in flat dish.
Coat meat in seasoned flour.
Place butter in 2-quart glass casserole with coated meat.
Microwave on medium for 10 minutes.
Stir in remaining ingredients, except cornstarch and water.
Blend cornstarch with water in small mixing bowl.
Mix into meat and vegetables; recover.
Microwave on low for 35 to 40 minutes or until meat is fork tender.
Let stand, covered, 5 minutes.
Stir well before serving.
