Swedish Meatballs With Chives
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Dry seasoned bread crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Lean ground beef||1 Pound|
|Kitchen bouquet||1 Tablespoon|
|Chopped onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Dried chives||1 Tablespoon|
Pour milk over crumbs, soak 15 minutes.
Blend ground beef, egg, salt, pepper, Kitchen Bouquet, onion, and crumb mixture.
Shape into 1" meatballs; arrange on roasting rack in 12x8-inch dish.
Microwave (high) 8-10 minutes, rotating dish 1/4 turn halfway through cooking. (Rearrange meatballs if cooking unevenly.) Rest, covered, 5 minutes; make gravy or roux. (We love this cooked in roux.) Pour gravy over meatballs; top with dried chives.
