Shoo Fly Pie
|Flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Dark molasses||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Boiling water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Unbaked 9 inch pie shell||1|
Mix together flour, sugar and butter.
In separate bowl mix soda, molasses and water.
Put 1/3 molasses mixture into pie shell, add layer of crumbs, then alternate molasses and crumbs, ending with crumb mixture.
Bake at 425° for 10 minutes, then at 350° for 40 minutes.
