Beat the egg whites until foamy.
Add the salt and continue beating until the whites stand in soft peaks.
Gradually add the sugar, beating thoroughly until the mixture forms very stiff peaks.
Sprinkle the vanilla and chocolate morsels over the top; fold in.
Drop by small teaspoonfuls onto a lightly buttered cookie sheet.
Place in a 350° oven and immediately turn the oven off.
Let the cookies dry in the oven overnight.
