Butter Braised Belgian Endive
|Heads of belgian endive||6 Large|
1. Cut each endive head lengthwise in half. In 12-inch skillet over medium-low heat, melt butter or margarine with sugar and salt.
2. Arrange endive in skillet in 1 layer. Cover and cook 15 to 20 minutes, until tender and lightly browned, turning endive occasionally.
