Slow-Cooked Osso Buco

Osso Buco is the perfect Italian dish which can brighten up any day for you. My husband and kids love this Veal Scallopini very much. Make it today!
  Veal shanks 3 , cut into 3 inch pieces
  Flour 3 Tablespoon
  Olive oil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Port wine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Parsley 2 Tablespoon, chopped
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), crushed
  Lemon peel 1 , grated
  Anchovies 3
  Bouillon/Broth 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste

Dredge shanks in flour.
Heat oil and butter in a skillet, and brown shanks on all sides.
Remove pan from heat and place shanks in crock.
Pour remaining ingredients into pan, and stir until blended.
Pour this mixture over the meat.
Cover and cook 7 to 9 hours at Low heat.
Remove shanks from liquid, and, if the sauce is too thin, thicken it with a little roux (butter and flour which has been mixed together).
