Pear Meringue Dessert
|Canned pear halves||32 Ounce, drained and quartered (Two 16 Ounces Cans)|
|Eggs||2 , separated|
|Dairy sour cream||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||3 Tablespoon|
|Ground cinnamon||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
1. Arrange pears evenly in an 8-inch round glass cake dish.
2. Combine egg yolks and sour cream in a bowl. Stir in 1/2 cup sugar, flour, salt and cinnamon. Spread over pears.
3. Beat egg whites until foamy. Add 2 tablespoons sugar gradually beating until stiff, not dry, peaks form. Carefully spread meringue over pear mixture; seal to edge of dish on all sides. Set aside.
