  Flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Sugar 3 Tablespoon
  Caraway seeds 1 Tablespoon
  Unsalted butter 3 Tablespoon
  Dark raisins 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Buttermilk 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Unsalted butter 1 Tablespoon, melted
  Sugar 1⁄2 Tablespoon

1 Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, sugar, and caraway seeds in mixing bowl.
2 Cut in butter until mixture looks like coarse meal. Stir in raisins; add buttermilk gradually. Mix thoroughly.
3 Knead on lightly floured surface until smooth€”about 5 minutes. Shape in a ball. Place in greased 8-inch round cake pan.
4 Cut a 4-inch cross about % through center of dough. Brush top with melted butter; sprinkle with sugar.
5 Bake in a preheated 350°F oven about 30 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean. Cool on wire rack.
