Cabbage And Salt Pork

Ingredients
  Milk 1 Quart
  Salt pork 1 Pound, cubed
  Onions 3 , chopped
  White cabbage 1 , shredded
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Freshly ground black pepper To Taste
  Nutmeg 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Flour 2 Tablespoon (Combined With 2 Tablespoons Cold Milk)
  Cold milk 2 Tablespoon (Combined With Flour)
Directions

Bring milk and salt pork to a boil.
Add onions, shredded cabbage, salt, pepper and nutmeg and cook gently for 20 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
Add the flour mixture to the cabbage, stirring constantly.
Cook until slightly thickened.
