Swiss Cheese Fondue Using Kirsch
|Swiss cheese||1 Pound, shredded and divided (4 Cups)|
|Flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Garlic powder||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|White wine/Apple juice||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|French bread stick||2 , cut into cubes or bread sticks|
Toss cheese with flour, garlic, pepper and nutmeg.
Heat wine in 2-quart casserole, at HIGH 2 to 2 1/2 minutes.
Gradually add 1/2 cheese; stir until smooth.
Cook at MEDIUM 2 to 3 minutes; stir once.
Add remaining cheese and Kirsch, stir until smooth.
Cook at MEDIUM 2 to 3 minutes, or until cheese is melted; stir once.
