  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Bay leaf 1
  Beef broth 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
White turnips 1⁄2 Pound, pared and sliced
Carrots 1⁄2 Pound, pared and sliced
  Onion 1 , sliced
  Flour 1 1⁄2 Tablespoon
  Water 3 Tablespoon

1) Place the lamb, salt, pepper, bay leaf, and broth in a pot and heat to boiling. Lower flame, cover, and simmer for 40 minutes or until meat is almost tender. Remove from heat and refrigerate for 6 hours.
2) Remove the bay leaf and skim off the fat. Heat to boiling, add vegetables, cover and simmer for 30 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
3) Mix the flour and water together until smooth. Place into the stew and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the sauce begins to bubble, stirring often.
