|Sugar||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Soft shortening/Butter||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
Mix in a large bowl until dough balls and clings to fork.
Knead in with hands until smooth 2 more tablespoons flour.
Spray pan release in torte boden form (German pie pan).
Flour and tap out excess.
Place dough in pan and flatten dough evenly with hand.
Prick dough all over with a fork.
Bake in preheated 3530° oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Cool only 10 minutes on rack before tapping out crust.
