Lemon Meringue Torte

Ingredients
  Egg whites 8
  Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs) (add slowly)
  Cream of tartar 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Use a glass dripper pan; butter generously.
Line the glass dish with the meringue and bake at 275° for 1 hour.
Open the oven door and let meringue cool in the oven.
