My Fish and Chips turned out to be an instantaneous hit, the moment I tried it out. Learn how to prepare the popular take-away fish and chips with this recipe. Highly recommended if you are a lover of fish!
Ingredients
  Cod/Plaice/haddock 1 , filleted and washed
  Maize flour 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Also Called Cornmeal)
  Sunflower oil/Soya oil 1
  Peeled raw potatoes 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (1 Portion)
  Sunflower oil/Soya oil 2 Cup (32 tbs) (For Deep Frying)
Directions

Fish:
Dip the fish in maize flour (cornmeal) to coat it all over.
Heat .a little oil in a frying pan (skillet).
Fry the fish for about 5 minutes on each side (or less if the fillet is thin) until cooked on the inside and with a crisp golden outside.
Chips: 1.
Cut the potato into 'fingers'.
Heat the oil until it begins to smoke slightly.
Put in the chips carefully, a few at a time so as not to make the fat bubble too much.
Turn down the heat a little and cook for about 8 to 10 minutes or until the chips are golden and cooked through.
