Braised Celery With Swiss Cheese And Almonds
|Water||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Ground red pepper||1 Dash|
|Celery strips/Thin celery slices||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
|Process swiss cheese slices||2 1⁄4 Ounce, cut in half diagonally (Three Slices Weighing 3/4 Ounce Each)|
|Sliced almonds||2 Tablespoon|
Combine water and red pepper in large skillet; bring to a boil over high heat.
Add celery; reduce heat to low.
Cover and simmer 5 minutes or until celery is crisp-tender; drain.
Arrange celery in shallow 2-quart casserole or ovenproof platter.
Top with cheese; sprinkle with almonds.
Broil 3 inches from heat source 1 to 2 minutes or until cheese melts and almonds are golden.
