Jam Crumble Bars

Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Firmly packed dark brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Flour 1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Quick oats 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), uncooked
  Raspberry jam 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
Directions

Lightly grease an 8 inch, heat-resistant, non-metallic baking dish.
In a medium sized bowl, cream butter and sugar together until fluffy.
Stir in flour, salt, baking soda and oats.
Combine until well blended.
Press one-half of mixture into bottom of prepared baking dish.
Heat, uncovered, on roast for 5 minutes.
Spread jam evenly over baked oat mixture.
Crumble remaining oat mixture over jam and press lightly.
Heat, uncovered, on roast an additional 7 minutes.
Test for doneness with a wooden pick.
Allow to cool and cut into bars.
