Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients
  Rump steak/Fillet steak 1 1⁄2 Pound
  Onion 1
  Tomatoes 3
  White wine 12 Ounce (1 Glass)
  Butter 2 Ounce
  Button mushrooms 1⁄4 Pound
  Fresh double cream/2 cartons natural yoghurt 1⁄4 Pint
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

The steak should be cut into slices 1/2 in. thick, and then cut again into strips about 2 in. by 1/2 in.
Melt the butter and fry the sliced onion in it, with the steak strips.
Cook both for about 8 minutes, turning occasionally.
Remove with a slotted spoon, and put sliced mushrooms and tomatoes into the butter to cook for about 3-5 minutes.
Replace steak and onions and season to taste.
Gently stir in wine and cream or yoghurt.
It must not boil, but reheat carefully and cook covered, for a further 15-20 minutes.
A dusting of paprika improves the look of this dish.
