Hungarian Pepper Dish

Ingredients
  Lard 2 Tablespoon
  Peeled sliced onion 1 Medium, separated into rings
  Green peppers 1 Pound, cleaned, sliced
  Tomatoes 3⁄4 Pound, peeled, quartered
  Sugar 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Hungarian sweet paprika 2 Teaspoon
  Cayenne pepper 1 Dash
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

Melt lard in heavy skillet.
Add onion; cook over moderate heat until wilted.
Add green peppers; cook until crisp-tender.
Add remaining ingredients; cook, covered, over low heat 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Taste for seasoning.
