Stewed Tarhonya

Ingredients
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Lard 3 Ounce
  Onions 1 Ounce
  Paprika 1⁄2 Teaspoon
Directions

Fry tarhonya in lard till golden yellow, add finely chopped onions, paprika and just enough hot water to cover it. (Add water sparingly to prevent tarhonya from getting soaked. It is better to fill up again when needed.)
Bring it to boil, then stew till tender and water has evaporated.
One or two fresh tomatoes and green paprika may be stewed with the tarhonya.
