Sataras is a wonderfully addictive meat dish. Serve the Sataras for your next dinner party and don’t be surprised when they take a second helping.
  Beef 1⁄2 Pound (For Stew)
  Lamb 1⁄2 Pound (For Stew)
  Pork cubes 1⁄2 Pound
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  Onions 3 , chopped
  Green peppers 4 , cut into pieces (Seedy Centers Discarded)
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), crushed
  Paprika 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Cumin seed 1 Teaspoon, crushed
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Tomatoes 3 Medium, peeled and cut into pieces
  Dairy sour cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)

Brown meat on all sides in butter in a skillet.
Add onion, green pepper, garlic, and paprika; stir.
Cook 3 or 4 minutes.
Turn contents of skillet into an electric cooker.
Sprinkle with salt and cumin.
Add water to skillet; heat and stir to loosen browned particles.
Pour into cooker; stir.
Cover and cook on Low 8 to 10 hours.
Add tomato and sour cream to stew; mix.
Cover and cook on High 30 minutes.
