Pear Meringue Pie

Ingredients
  Canned pear halves 29 Ounce (Drained)
  Unbaked 8 inch. pie shell 1
  Egg yolks 2 , well beaten
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Flour 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Dairy sour cream 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
  Grated lemon peel 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Lemon juice 1 Teaspoon
  Meringue 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Slice pears to make about 4 cups slices; arrange in unbaked pie shell.
Beat into egg yolks a mixture of sugar, flour, and salt.
Add a blend of sour cream, extract, and lemon peel and juice; mix thoroughly.
Spread evenly over pears.
Bake at 350°F 50 to 55 minutes.
Cool to lukewarm on wire rack.
Prepare Meringue II and complete pie as directed in meringue recipe.
