Breakfast Irish Soda Bread

Ingredients
  Unbleached flour 4 Cup (64 tbs)
  Egg 1 Large
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Soda 1 Teaspoon
  Buttermilk 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Raisins 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

In large bowl sift together flour, sugar, salt, soda and baking powder.
Add raisins and stir.
Fork beat together egg and margarine to blend; stir into flour mixture.
Stir in buttermilk just to make a moist dough as for biscuits.
Put on lightly floured board and knead with finger tips about 2 minutes, no longer.
Grease 9 inch layer pan and put dough in, flattening with fingers.
Bake in 375 degree oven 40 minutes.
Test center for doneness with cake tester.
