After a day with Steve, theTortillaguy and ifoodtv-producer Shridhar, at the Fancy Food Show, I just wanted to say thanks for a very nice day with Steve and Shridhar. You do not know how much I valued our interaction. It was just what I needed after 2 days of working the booth.
I had fun, and it was all due to both of you... enthousiastic about what life is all about, and I think that ifoodtv.com is all about the fun and good things in life.

Enjoy life to the fullest, and hopefully in health and happiness! That is my idea about life, especially after I moved to the USA in 1995 and we opened a gym. Our members loved it. No skinny girls in even smaller outfits, just fun, friendship and fun exercise combined with a non-restricted diet. Only Applebees next door was more popular than we were, so after a few years we had to close the door after spending all our savings. I went to Europe to see my (ex) brother-in-law Bill and his wife. He has cancer and it was the last time I saw him. On my way back home, I decided to help people to live a healthier life with food. That is why I wrote my first book "Amazing 7 Minute Meals"... You make all your healthy food in 7 minutes or less. Take a look at my favorite recipe and you see for yourself that my recipes are easy to make with ingredients you can get at any grocery store. My second book "Say Cheese" has healthy gourmet recipes prepared with Dutch cheese. We Dutch eat cheese every day, but in moderation, and the combination with spices, herbs, fresh veggies, meat, fish and low-glycemic carbs, it is a delicious, guilt-free meal that will satisfy everybody! Check my website: www.getrealhealthyfood.com for more information or to get your own signed copy or "Amazing 7 Minute Meals" and "Say Cheese". Well, Steve, here it comes: #1 start with a good breakfast. I will post my shrimp breakfast recipe. You will love it. Then you don't go hungry the rest of the day. 2) Small snack at 10.30 am: few carrots, 2 oat meal cookies, glass of milk or green tea. 3) Lunch: low carb Tortilla wrap (1 lettuce leave, 1/2 cup grilled chicken breast, 1/2 cup mixed bell pepper strips, 1 tablespoon green onions, sliced, 1 Tablespoon black beans and 1/2 tablespoon cheddar cheese) 4) Small snack at ± 4.00 pm: few tortilla chips with salsa, 1/2 apple, cup of (green) tea (you can even bake a few the low carb tortilla wrap strips in the oven) 5) Dinner: 4 times a week one of the stir fry recipes from my book Amazing 7 Minute Meals, once a week a salad with grilled chicken or salmon, once a week a recipe from my book Say Cheese, and once a week 1/2 of you favorite food (if it is high in fat 1/3) And then you walk 2 times a week ± 2 miles, and do some weight lifiting/shaping 2 times a week. And especially for Steve the tortilla guy, if you want to, I will personally take you to a personal trainer when you visit Philly to educate you about your own personal needs. And I guarantee all of you, that you will lose about 4-8 pounds a month, which is the amount you want to lose. REMEMBER: the weight didn't come overnight and you want to lose it in the same speed as your skin can handle it! Besides, restricted diets do not work if you didn't learn anything from it, and you body need the 6 nutrients. Check out my book Amazing 7 Minute Meals, and you will see that your body functions properly, doesn't need tons of supplements, just fresh made, honest food, prepared in 7 minutes or less, which gives you the time to take that walk. Little TIP: My hubby John and I take a walk every morning at 6.30 am with our dog Trigger, and enjoy that time to chat about the day, what happened yesterday, our schedule or just fun talk. You will see, it is fun to spend time together walking your calories away. Any questions about food or exercise, just email me at chefyvon@aol.com or check my website www.getrealhealthyfood.com where you will even find a couch-potato-workout. Yvonne

Love the International Fancy Food Show! While I have only attended the NYC show a few times, my husband and I have covered the SF Show since the very first one. I have always enjoyed the International exhibits and have attended some of the food exhibitions in Europe. Back in my first Gourmet Show I was VP of Msrketing for BIA Cordon Bleu, and wow has the show grown since then! Back then DH was a buyer of Gourmet and Housewares for Liberty House and the Emporium. *Chuckle* This shared passion certainly has grown since then in the mid 70's.
