Why did candy maker Milton S. Hershey switch from making caramels to chocolate bars in 1903?

That's a good one - I have no idea... Maybe because chocolate in the world of sweets trumps all? My name is Nikko and I'm a chocoholic... :) Nikko

Hershey switched to making chocolate bars because caramels wouldn’t retain the imprint of his name in the summertime, but chocolate bars would. See, folks—it’s all about the branding.

Great info on Peanut Butter. My favorites are PB and Chocolate and PB and Cinnamon. I must try the PB and Banana. Always enjoy your videos. Great work. Jack

Very interesting.... I'll buy that. I'm glad they switched to making chocolate bars (which I love) instead of caramel which always sticks to my teeth. Shelly
