Eggnog Holiday Salad

Ingredients
  Canned fruit cocktail 1 Pound (1 Can)
  Plain gelatin 1⁄2 Ounce (2 Envelopes, 1/4 Ounce Each)
  Canned mandarin oranges 11 Ounce, cut in half (1 Can)
  Flaked coconut 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Dairy eggnog 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Nutmeg 1 Dash
Directions

Drain fruit, saving juice.
Soften gelatin in juice and melt over hot water.
Combine with rest of ingredients.
Turn into 5-cup mold and chill until firm.
This is very good to serve from Thanksgiving to New Years when eggnog is available.
Has a delicious taste.
When serving at Christmastime, a few extra maraschino cherries cut in half may be added.
The extra red color makes it look more festive."
