Egg Nog Pie
|Milk||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Cold water||2 Tablespoon|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|9 inch baked pie shell||1|
|Whipped cream||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Soak gelatin in water.
In medium mixing bowl scald milk.
MICROWAVE 2 to 3 MINUTES on HIGH, or until hot.
In small mixing bowl, mix together egg yolks, sugar, cornstarch and salt, and add to milk.
MICROWAVE 3 to 4 MINUTES on '6', or until thickened.
Stir in butter, vanilla, nutmeg and gelatin.
Chill in refrigerator until cool.
Beat egg whites until fluffy.
Blend into egg yolk and milk mixture, fill pie shell and chill until set.
Sprinkle with nutmeg and top each slice with whipped cream if so desired.
