Eggs A La King
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|White pepper||1 Dash|
|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Hard cooked eggs||6 , sliced|
|Canned sliced mushrooms||6 Ounce, drained (1 Can)|
|Peas||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Cooked / Canned)|
|Chopped canned pimiento||2 Tablespoon|
|Thick tomato slices||6|
|Buttered toast slices||6|
Melt butter in saucepan.
Blend in flour, salt, and pepper.
Add milk all at once; cook, stirring constantly, till thick and bubbly.
Remove from heat.
Stir in catsup.
Add eggs, mushrooms, peas, and pimiento; heat through.
Sprinkle tomato slices lightly with salt; broil 2 to 3 minutes.
Place a tomato slice on each toast slice.
Spoon sauce over.
