Zesty Baked Eggs
|Mayonnaise||1⁄8 Cup (2 tbs)|
|Black pepper||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Worcestershire sauce||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Chopped chives||1 Tablespoon (Fresh Or Freeze Dried)|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Shredded sharp cheddar cheese||4 Ounce|
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. In a 1-quart saucepan, combine the mayonnaise, salt, pepper, paprika, and Worcestershire sauce, and the chives if used.
2. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly, and continue to stir until smooth. Add the cheese, and cook over low heat, stirring, until the cheese is melted—about 5 minutes.
3. Butter 4 individual 6-ounce baking dishes and pour 2 tablespoons of sauce into each one. Break 2 eggs into each dish and top with the rest of the sauce. Place the baking dishes in a pan filled with about 1/2 inch of hot water and bake, uncovered, for 17 to 20 minutes, or until the eggs are of the desired consistency.
