Asparagus Egg Bake

Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 3 Tablespoon
  All purpose flour 3 Tablespoon
  Milk 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1 Dash
  Shredded pasteurized process american cheese 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Hard cooked eggs 5 , sliced
  Canned asparagus spears 15 Ounce, drained
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon, melted
  Cracker crumbs 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Melt butter in saucepan; stir in flour until smooth.
Blend in milk and seasonings and heat until thickened.
Add cheese to sauce; stir until smooth.
Place alternate layers of eggs, asparagus, and cheese sauce in lightly greased 1 1/2 quart casserole.
Combine the 2 tablespoons butter or margarine and cracker crumbs.
Sprinkle over top of casserole and bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
