Kimchi, which is sometimes also spelled as kimchee, is a spicy traditional Korean food made with fermented vegetables such as cabbage, radishes, green onions or cukes. It is enriched with vitamin C and carotene. It is also very high in fiber, iron and calcium. It stimulates appetite and quite effective for diet and reduce cholesterol in the blood vessels.   • Kimchi is generally served with a Korean side dish. In many Korean restaurants, it is usually served with meat and rice. You can take a piece of meat, top it with a piece of kimchi, pop into your mouth followed by a bite of rice.

  • You can also make various dishes with Kimchi, Try to make hot Kimchi sandwiches. You can apply oil to a pan and roast kimchi. Mix the roasted kimchi with tuna, onion slices and mayonnaise. Take a slice of bread and apply little butter. Spread the mixture on top of it and put another slice of bread. Roast the sandwich for a while and cut into suitable size.

  • Kimchi salad is another extremely delectable dish which you can try making at home. It is the best loved food for the vegetarians. If you have plenty of green leafy vegetables in your kitchen, then just think about this recipe. You can begin by soaking the red chillies in water for 10-12 minutes. Chop the cabbage into small pieces. Take a pan and add 4 cups of water and 2 tsp of salt and sugar. Bring it to boil and add cabbage. Turn off the heat. Strain the cabbage and refresh it in cold water. Drain the red chillies and grind them along with ginger and garlic. Add tomato ketchup, soy sauce, salt, pepper and vinegar to this paste. Mix this paste with cabbage. Your kimchi salad is ready.

  • Worried how to finish leftover kimchi? Its very simple. Make kimchi pancake with your leftover kimchi. You just need to mix the leftover kimchi with flour, egg and little water. Heat a pan with little oil and pour the prepared batter into a thin layer. Cook for 3-4 minutes and turn the side. Cook for another few minutes and eat it with spicy dipping sauce.
