How To Clean A Burnt Stain In Baking Tray

The joy of baking turns into a nightmare when we have to clean burnt stains from a baking tray. It is practically impossible to bring back the burnt dish but you can very well clean the baking tray that will look new and is very much usable. Step by step instructions on how to clean a burnt stain in baking tray will at least help in successfully removing those stubborn stains.

 



  1. Remove the burnt food from the baking tray as much as you can without scrubbing and wash the tray with cold water.

     

  2. Add a teaspoon full of utensil detergent in the tray and pour some hot water. Let the tray soak in the soap solution for a couple of hours.

     

  3. The burnt food will come off the pan or use a wooden spoon to scrape the burnt. Rinse the tray with water.

     

  4. If there are burnt marks left on the baking tray, cover the spots with good amount of baking soda powder, add a little water to make a paste and spread it evenly over the spot. Leave it overnight.

     

  5. Heat 1 part water with 3 parts of vinegar and wipe the burnt stains with hot vinegar water wearing a pair of gloves.

     

  6. If the burnt stains still persist, cover the stain with a cloth dipped in vinegar and leave it overnight. Use the same cloth to wipe the stain in the morning.

     

  7. You may also apply baking powder followed by washing with vinegar water if the stain is still visible. Continue the same process of washing with hot vinegar water.

     

  8. Finally to remove any odor, place a fresh lemon slice in the tray and sprinkle few drops of water. Microwave the baking tray to freshen up your baking tray for baking the next recipe.


 


Cleaning burnt stain is time consuming but not impossible. So next time you burn your baking tray don’t think of discarding your burnt baking tray.
