Falafels are fried small balls, usually made out of chickpeas. It is an African specialty.
Falafel is generally served alone or in pita. Hot and crispy falafel balls inside a pocket pita is a real treat! I personally like eating falafel in pita with tomatoes, fried potatoes and hot sauce. Step 1: Just don’t be afraid of it. Pick it up!
Step 2: Slowly pick at it with fingers and mouth.
Step 3: If you are using a fork then dig in.
Falafel can be served on a plate with side dishes.
Falafel balls can be topped with salads, pickled vegetables and hot sauce, and drizzled with tahini-base sauces.
These balls may also be eaten alone as a snack or served as part of a mezze.
It goes well with Arabic bread along with cucumbers and lettuce, tomatoes, and jalapenos in it too.
You can substitute labna for tahina as well. Labna is like yogurt, but tastes closer to sour cream.
French fries, dolmades, salads like fattoush or tabouleh goes well with this dish.
You can eat it with hummus, rice, bean or garden salad&tomato sauce.
