|Stock||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs) (or lightly salted water)|
|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Milk||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
Pour stock into 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Microwave 6 to 8 minutes on HIGH, or until boiling.
Measure flour, baking powder and salt into mixing bowl.
Cut in shortening until mixture looks like corn meal.
Stir in milk until mixture is moistened but not smooth.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto boiling stock.
Do not cover.
Microwave 6 minutes on HIGH.
Microwave 5 minutes on HIGH, or until dumplings are firm.
Remove dumplings to serving dish with slotted spoon.
