|Milk or water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||4 Teaspoon|
Sift the dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
Add the liquid and mix to a batter that will drop from a spoon.
Drop from the spoon into the boiling stew, being careful that there is plenty of liquid and no possibility of boiling dry.
Cover tightly and cook undisturbed from 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the size of the dumplings.
