Quick Apple Dumplings
|Prepared biscuit mix||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Soft butter||1 Tablespoon|
|Apples||2 Cup (32 tbs), finely diced|
|Sugar||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Nuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Prepare biscuit mix according to package directions for dumplings.
Roll dough 1/2 inch thick; spread with butter.
Combine apples, cinnamon, 1/2 cup sugar and nuts.
Spread over dough; roll up.
Cut roll into 3/4-inch slices.
Combine remaining sugar with 1/2 cup water; bring to a boil.
Simmer, stirring con- stantly, until sugar is dissolved.
Pour syrup into well-greased baking dish.
Arrange apple rolls over syrup.
Bake at 450 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
