Apple-Honey Dumplings

Ingredients
  Apples 6 Medium
  Sifted flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Shortening 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Milk 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Honey 6 Tablespoon
  Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Pare and core apples.
Sift flour with baking powder and salt; cut in shortening.
Add milk, mixing until soft dough is formed.
Roll dough into 12 x 8-inch rectangle; cut into six squares.
Place an apple in each square.
Combine butter, honey, lemon juice and salt; blend well.
Fill apple centers with mixture.
Moisten edges of dough with cold water.
Bring four corners of dough on top of apple; press edges firmly to- gether.
Place in greased 10 x 10 x 2-inch pan.
