Never-Fail Dumplings

Ingredients
  Flour 2 Cup (32 tbs), sifted
  Baking powder 3 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Shortening 1 Tablespoon
  Meat stock or chicken broth 1 (enough for boiling)
Directions

Sift flour with baking powder and salt; cut in short- ening.
Add milk to make a drop batter.
Drop by spoonfuls into boiling stock.
Simmer, covered tightly, for 10 minutes.
Serve at once.
