|Flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Dates||14 Cup (224 tbs), chopped|
|Apricot jam||1 Tablespoon|
|Ground ginger||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Soda bi carb||1⁄3 Tablespoon|
Sift flour, salt and spices together.
Stir in dates and jam.
Mix soda with milk.
In a large saucepan, boil together: 4 cups water and 1 cup sugar.
Boil for a few minutes.
Then drop spoonsful of the dough into the boiling syrup.
Cover tightly with lid and boil for 15 minutes.
Serve with custard.
