White Dumplings

Ingredients
  Glutinous rice flour 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Shiratama-Ko)
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
For brown sauce
  Soy sauce 2 Tablespoon
  Sugar 2 Tablespoon
  Mirin 2 Tablespoon
  Corn starch/Potato starch 1 Tablespoon (Optional, For A Thicker Sauce)
Directions

MAKING
1) Soak the rice flour in water for a few minutes, make a dough, shape the dough into a 12 round dumplings.
2) In a pot with water drop the dumplings gradually, allow to boil for a minute, remove and put immediately in cold water, drain well.
3) In a saucepan add the soy sauce, sugar, and mirin , stir over medium heat to dissolve the sugar; for a thicker sauce, stir in the corn or potato starch and turn off the heat
4) Skewer 3 dumplings on stick, grill to evenly brown on a wire mesh over medium heat; finally
brush the dumplings with the brown sauce .

SERVING
5) Serve on a nice dish.
