Bread Dumplings

This recipe for Bubble Loaf comes as a boon for a special person like me and may also prove to be good for you. The main ingredient in this recipe is butter. Whenever I have Canadian friends visiting I always prepare Bubble Loaf which is most loved by them. It is a great Main Dish. Treat your family to this Bubble Loaf and they are going to adore you for it.
Ingredients
  Stale bread cubes 3 Cup (48 tbs), trimmed off crusts (1/2 Inch Size)
  Unsifted flour 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Minced parsley 1 Tablespoon
  Minced yellow onion 2 Tablespoon
  Milk 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Egg 1 , lightly beaten
  Melted butter/Margarine 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Mix all ingredients together, let stand 5 minutes, and mix again.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls into a little flour, then roll into balls.
Drop into just boiling soup or stew, simmer uncovered 5 minutes, cover, and simmer 2-3 minutes longer.
Do not cook more than 1 layer deep at a time.
Serve in soup or stew, allowing 3-4 per serving.
