Corn Bread Dumplings
|All purpose flour||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Yellow cornmeal||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Slightly beaten egg yolk||1|
|Milk||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Cooking oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Beef stew||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (Choose A Dumpling Style)|
In a medium bowl stir together flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Combine egg yolk, milk, and oil, then add to flour mixture, stirring with a fork only till combined.
Drop cornmeal mixture from a tablespoon directly onto bubbly stew to make 4 dumplings.
Micro-cook, uncovered, on 100% power (HIGH) 3 1/2 to 4 minutes or till a wooden toothpick inserted into center of dumplings comes out clean, rotating the dish twice.
