|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Sage leaves||1⁄4 Teaspoon (dried)|
|Thyme leaves||1⁄4 Teaspoon (dried)|
|Milk||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
Cut shortening into flour, baking powder, salt, sage and thyme until mixture resembles fine crumbs.
Stir in milk.
If using self-rising flour, omit baking powder and salt.
