Herb Dumplings

Ingredients
  Shortening 3 Tablespoon
  All purpose flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (GOLD MEDAL)
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Sage leaves 1⁄4 Teaspoon (dried)
  Thyme leaves 1⁄4 Teaspoon (dried)
  Milk 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
Directions

Cut shortening into flour, baking powder, salt, sage and thyme until mixture resembles fine crumbs.
Stir in milk.
If using self-rising flour, omit baking powder and salt.
